Properties of Rectangle
1. Each angle of a rectangle is a right angle i.e $90{}^\circ ;\angle A=90{}^\circ ,\angle B=90{}^\circ ,\angle C=90{}^\circ =\angle D=90$.2. Opposite sides are equal; AB = CD & AD = BC.
3. Opposite sides are parallel; AB || CD & AD || BC.
4. The diagonals of a rectangle are equal; AC = BD.
Note: Diagonals of a rectangle need not be perpendicular to one another.
Formulas of Rectangle
If Length= $l$ unit, Breadth= $b$ unit$\begin{align}
& (i)Perimeter=2(l+b) \\
& (ii)Area=l\times b \\
& (iii)Length=\frac{Area}{Breadth} \\
& (iv)Breadth=\frac{Area}{Length} \\
& (v)Diagonal=\sqrt{{{l}^{2}}+{{b}^{2}}} \\
\end{align}$
