What is BODMAS?

BBrackets(Parenthesis)
O Of or Order
D Division
MMultiplication
A Addition
S Subtraction

BODMAS gives an order by which an expression is to be solved when there are more than one mathematical operations in an expression. ''Brackets'' are solved first then 'of' or 'order' and so on.

For Example:
Example 1) 7 × 8 ÷ 2 + 3 = 31
Here three mathematical operations ×, ÷, + are used. So according to BODMAS, Division operation will be performed first, then multiplication and finally addition will be done.
             7 × 8 ÷ 2 + 3
                      ↓
              ×  4   + 3
                  ↓
                 28  + 3
                      ↓
                     31

Example 2) 78 - [ 5 + 3 of (  25 - 2 × 10)] = 58
Note :   Brackets are solved inside out. If there are two or more brackets(Parenthesis) in a question then inner bracket will be solved first and then to the outwards.
              78 - [ 5 + 3 of (  25 - 2 × 10 )]
                                                     ↓
                   78 - [ 5 + 3 of ( 25 - 20 )]
                                                 ↓
                         78 - [ 5 + 3 of 5 ]
                                            ↓
                        78 - [ 5 + 3 × 5
                                           ↓
                          78 - [ 5 + 15 ]
                                       ↓
                               78 - 20
                                   ↓
                                  58
