Property and Formula of Trapezium

•  Only one pair of sides are parallel; AB || DC.

• Area of Trapezium = $\frac{1}{2}\times $ (Sum of the parallel sides) $\times $ (Distance between parallel sides)

                             = $\frac{1}{2}\times (AB+DC)\times DL$

Isosceles Trapezium

Property of Isosceles Trapezium

•  PQRS is an isosceles trapezium in which PQ || SR and PS = QR.

Note: The diagonals of an isosceles trapezium are always equal.

Kite

Property of Kite

•  Two pairs of equal adjacent sides but unequal opposite sides; CB = CD and AB = AD but $AD\ne BC$ and $AB\ne CD$.
